This private cedar home is a 3200 square foot ranch, and nestled on 30 acres, assuring privacy, quiet, and offering a peaceful, natural setting. It is a perfect getaway for those visiting either Longwood University or Hampden Sydney College, additionally, just a few minutes away for shoppers visiting Green Front Furniture, or golfing one of Virginia’s newest and most challenging golf courses, The Manor Resort.
Comfort and rustic casual elegance would describe the décor of this house with hand-made quilts, and oversized chairs & sofa to cuddle up with a good book. The home has a mix of primitive antiques and country casualness.
The house features two wonderful master bedroom suites, a spacious deck, and amenities through the entire home.
   The deck, a favorite gathering spot, is 800 square feet, 2/3 covered under roof, with an 8 person hot tub, a 2 person infrared sauna, and a built in gas grill all overlooking a 1 acre pond. Perfect for enjoyment and/or entertaining, comfortable seating for 20 in overstuffed cuddle chairs, a glass top dining table that seats 4. The night sky, without light pollution, is magnificent and the hot tub on the outside deck is just right for laying back and viewing it.
    The largest master bedroom suite is spacious, featuring a Duxiana king size bed, wide plank vintage pine flooring, a luxurious two person rain shower with steam feature, cedar wrap around closet and double vanity area.
    The living area is an open, great room, with a master bar, an entertainment area with a cozy, L-shaped sofa, all under a vaulted pine ceiling. Enjoy the cozy floor to ceiling rock gas fireplace, in the middle of the room.
    The open eat in kitchen has oversized table to seat six and is well equipped with utensils, cookware, and appliances.
    The home features a second master suite with king bed, full bath, and separate vanity area. A third bedroom has queen bed.
  The secluded, country setting is perfect for privacy, quiet, or entertaining, a great place to get away from it all. The property is located off Rt. 15, eight miles south of Farmville, V, and 5 minutes from Hampden Sydney College. From one person to six, there are places to visit and see, and wildlife and nature to enjoy. This property is perfect for couples, honeymooners, artists wanting quiet time, visitors to Longwood and Hampden Sydney colleges, Green Front Furniture shoppers, Manor golfers, or Civil War buffs.

Children and Toddlers are welcome. The home and property are Pet friendly and there is a large dog house area if it is needed for traveling pets.  There is also an outside lab named Ginger that lives on the property.

For a small fee, we can even arrange for some groceries to be delivered upon arrival to get your stay started. Also, for a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or holiday, fresh flowers, wine, champagne, chocolates, or cake can be delivered before you arrive.
